After the unveiling ceremony, Gao Hong delivered a keynote speech titled "New Thinking and New Pathways for High-quality Development in Higher Vocational Education". He stressed the importance of aligning universities with national development trends and vocational education directions, accurately understanding the essence of high-quality vocational education, and scientifically designing implementation pathways. Peng Yuwen followed with a keynote speech titled "The 'University' Mindset in Vocational Schools' Development of Undergraduate Education: Changes and Constants". He introduced the concepts of "Four Enhancements", "Four Optimizations", and "Four Shifts" as key strategies for the development of vocational undergraduate education. In their speeches, both experts provided valuable insights into feasible ideas and pathways for the new wave of the Double High-levels Plan and guidance on universities' cultural construction, institutional development, and talent cultivation in their future development of undergraduate education. Their discussions served as a valuable reference for LZPU in implementing the new wave of the Double High-levels Plan and advancing vocational undergraduate education, offering clear direction for precise positioning and strategic planning.
During the event, Dean Yong Jia from the School of Arts conducted a special training session titled "Training on the Application of AI Tools". Following the presentations, experts provided in-depth evaluations and specific suggestions on these teachers' reports.
During the summary and review session, Ju Hongxia emphasized the importance of adhering to three core principles while developing vocational undergraduate education: "goal-oriented, problem-oriented, and result-oriented". From the goal-oriented perspective, it is essential to conduct thorough research and align with high-end industries and advanced industrial sectors to establish appropriate talent training objectives. This ensures that education is tailored to industry needs and courses are designed based on job requirements. The problem-oriented approach aims to identify and analyze the distinctions between vocational undergraduate education, applied undergraduate education, and higher vocational and technical education, and to address existing challenges in these areas. For the result-oriented approach, based on preliminary research and analysis, clear objectives should be set for the type of students to be cultivated, leading to the development of distinctive and appropriate teaching goals. Through this teaching and research activity, an in-depth integration of theory and practice was achieved, providing specific examples and feasible directions for the future development of undergraduate education at LZPU.
The "One Diamond, Five Golden" Workshop is a university-wide teaching and research initiative that LZPU holds regularly each semester. It aims to address emerging issues and challenges in advancing the Double High-levels Plan and vocational undergraduate education through expert lectures, specialized discussions, and training sessions, fostering a unified vision among faculty and driving the next phase of educational reform in the Double High-levels Plan and vocational undergraduate education. Moving forward, LZPU will continue leveraging the "Master Craftsman" Learning Center as a platform and the "Five Golden" framework as a strategic tool to drive educational and teaching reform, strengthen school-enterprise cooperation, and advance the development of the Double High-levels Plan and vocational undergraduate education.
