From News Center (Text by Yang Qingshan, International Exchange Department; Photos by Chen Chen, Publicity Department of the Party Committee) On the morning of August 28, 2025, the unveiling ceremony of the China-Thailand Language and Vocational Skills Training Center was held at the Guantang Campus of our university. Authorized by the Office of Vocational Education Commission of Thailand, the center aims to build a platform for cooperation between vocational institutions of the two countries to provide talent cultivation and training services for Chinese-funded enterprises in Thailand to meet their growing training needs. Only two universities in China have been approved to establish the center, which signifies that our university has become an officially designated cooperative institution of the Commission. It will play a leading role in vocational education exchanges and cooperation between China and Thailand, and set a benchmark for industry-education integration in vocational education of the two countries.

A 7-member delegation led by Watcharapong Funtip, Policy and Planning Consultant of the Commission, attended the ceremony alongside Liu Zilin, Secretary of the Party Committee of our university, and heads of relevant functional departments and secondary schools of the university.

Liu Zilin said that the authorization from the Office of Vocational Education Commission of Thailand for Liuzhou Polytechnic University to establish a training center reflects the recognition of China's vocational education and trust in our university. Our university will leverage this platform to expand mutual learning and exchange in cooperative education, resource sharing, and teacher-student exchanges, so as to provide a replicable and exemplary classic case for the cooperation between vocational institutions of the two countries.

Watcharapong Funtip also stated that the establishment of the center aligns with Thailand's national strategy for the internationalization of vocational education. This cooperation model not only opens up international employment channels for students but also actively responds to the global labor market's demand for interdisciplinary talents.

The establishment is a key initiative built on the long-standing, solid and fruitful cooperation between the two parties. Since 2021, under the organization of the Office of Vocational Education Commission of Thailand, our university has partnered with Chinese enterprises, including LiuGong, Shennan Circuits, and Founder PCB to carry out two-way order-based training for Chinese and Thai students, focusing on "Chinese and Vocational Skills" and "Non-Universal Languages and Vocational Skills". A total of 131 students from multiple Thai colleges and universities have been trained through the program, and 40 Chinese students have been prepared for employment in Thailand. This initiative has effectively addressed the demand for local skilled talents among Chinese-funded enterprises in Thailand and won high recognition from the Commission.. In March 2025, the Commission awarded our university the title of "Outstanding Partner".
